The Problem

Help Leukaemia UK embrace its ‘small but mighty’ brand positioning to power-up brand and fundraising communications in a highly contested market sector.  Find a new fundraising proposition to accelerate growth across products, starting with legacy fundraising.

The Process

A multi-stage process covering cultural analysis and qualitative and quantitative research, including in-depth interviews with people from across the leukaemia community. Close collaboration with fundraising agencies to support successful creative development.

The Payoff

Permission from people with experience of leukaemia for the charity to be bolder with its fundraising messages, and practical direction to help the charity break the over-used ‘lab coats and microscopes’ tropes used in the sector.  The charity has seen short-term improvements to digital fundraising results and developed innovative new legacy fundraising advertising (here).
